The Position

Responsible for the day-to-day coaching and leadership of fundraising acquisition (sales) teams to ensure they have the right behaviours to achieve the desired results.

You will be playing a crucial role in helping WVA’s fundraising and strategic goals. You will be leading by example and will be responsible for motivating, retaining and developing our face-to-face fundraisers.

You will achieve fundraising targets through effective team management and brand awareness. The role is a hands-on teacher/motivator with the goal of creating and sustaining a high performing team of engaged, successful fundraisers across the Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the day-to-day performance of the Face-to-Face team and their operational readiness including performance and development and effective and timely management of any concerns
• Ensure team members adhere to all WVA and fundraising practices / processes for themselves and Promoters in relation (but not limited) to quality assurance practices, time and attendance (time sheets, leave tracking), payroll processes and quarterly performance reviews, engagement surveys and related activities
• Recruitment management for the channel including adhering to WVA process, undertaking recruitment activities as required
• Work with training and operations team in managing and implementing training, learning and development strategy, quality assurance framework, as well as ongoing business improvement training and campaign activity across the retail team
• Foster a positive team culture and ensure team members feel valued and engaged
• Income targets met on time and in full and forecasting updated as required
• Provide insights into trends and learnings that will assist the channel to future plan
• Build and plan channel pipeline across Brisbane metro and wider areas
• Working closely with the Head of Retail and Third Parties to implement sales & income strategy

Who we’re looking for 

We are looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal skills and awareness of the face-to-face fundraising environment. You will have strong communication abilities and team management experience.

You will also have:

• Specialised Face-to-Face sales knowledge and experience within the charity sector
• Previous experience in day-to-day operational management of a sales force through decision making in processes such as training and performance management
• Experience supporting execution of the fundraising strategy within the role’s sphere of influence
• Proven success in leading sales team to achieve targets and KPIs
• Strong grasp of coaching and mentoring principles
