The Administration Officer Role

The Administrative Officer is responsible to the Executive Director Community & Allied Health, through the Business Support and Administration Team Leader of Community Health.

They are responsible for contributing to the provision of a range of administrative, business, and corporate services, including frontline customer services, consolidated Country CCCME, and information management functions. This includes the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of client data across the service through the analysis of issues and implementation and evaluation of improvements. Tasks include ensuring all relevant staff is skilled in customer service and the application of the data systems used across the Community Health which support the objectives of the services.

Whyalla Hospital and Health Service and Port Augusta and Regional Health Service are both modern, comprehensive health units. Whyalla provides a wide range of services utilising local general practitioners, resident specialists, visiting specialists and telemedicine for people in the surrounding areas. Our hospital has a combination of acute care beds, palliative care beds, day surgery beds and recliner beds used for procedures such as elective day surgery, endoscopy or general chemotherapy. 

The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service provides emergency services, general medical and surgical care and community services. We also provide specific facilities and staff for Aboriginal patients. Port Augusta Hospital offers a full surgery service with general surgery and day surgery, and we also provide five monitored beds, outpatient services, palliative care, rehabilitation and renal dialysis.
