Overview
The annual intake for Direct Care Workers at Barmera Health Service is now open for applications for 2024.
A Direct Care Worker provides care and supervision of aged care clients of the Barmera Residential Care Home. This will include providing assistance with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing and grooming of residents, along with toileting and continence management, assisting with mobility/dexterity, feeding residents and general housekeeping of residents personal environment.
The Direct Care Worker provides input into resident assessment and recording general observations, identifying diversional therapy needs of individuals and/or groups and completes routine documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, you must have completed an AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
In executing this role, you will need experience in providing a direct care service in a health related field, dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons and experience in the use of computer packages eg Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
