Overview

As an Enrolled Nurse operating on a casual basis, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier nursing care within Ceduna District Health Service, aimed at enhancing patient health outcomes. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you'll execute tailored nursing care and aid in both general and specialized procedures outlined in nursing care plans. Fostering collaborative and effective relationships with all healthcare team members, you'll relay verbal and documented information within your scope of practice to patients, fellow team members, and the public.

The reimagined Ceduna District Health Services, nestled within the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network region, includes both the Ceduna Hospital and the GP Plus Health Care Centre, Ceduna. The Ceduna District Health Services is run by the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network and includes Ceduna Hospital. Ceduna Hospital has 15 inpatient beds and provides services including emergency, surgical, general medicine, birthing, renal dialysis, diagnostic radiology and outpatients.

There are also residential aged care services provided within the hospital, at the Kuhlmann Wing and Ceduna Senior Citizens Village. There is also a GP family practice, Community Health services, Allied Health services, and Child, Adolescent and Adult Mental Health services offered on the hospital site.

Applicant Information

Must be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
