  • $72,651 to $99,129 p.a. (pro rata) RN/M1 | $84,870 to $107,279 p.a. (pro rata) RN/M2C
  • Ongoing Part Time (32 hours per week) - flexible for shift work over 6-day roster

 

Overview

Playing a vital role in our team, the Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse, delivers top-quality care to patients/clients within our Haemodialysis Unit. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to personal and professional growth, thrive in dynamic healthcare environments, and are dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered care.  Key responsibilities are:

  • Assess individual patient/client needs and devise comprehensive care plans, implementing and coordinating appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options, including collaboration with other disciplines or agencies
  • Provide direct person-centered nursing care and/or individual case management to patients/clients on a shift-by-shift basis in a defined clinical area, with a focus on enhancing autonomy over time
  • Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies to ensure holistic healthcare provision that meets the individual needs of each patient/client
  • Offer specialised nursing care and case management for patients undergoing dialysis treatment

The Clinical Nurse role continues to be predominantly clinical in nature; however may be assigned appropriate portfolios. The allocation of portfolio responsibilities will be negotiated and be consistent with the career development plan determined by performance review/development planning.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.  Qualifications relevant to specialty, particularly in renal nursing or post-graduate qualifications in renal nursing, including in a haemodialysis setting highly desirable.

For Clinical Nurse, you must have at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience including experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
