Overview

Are you ready to step into a pivotal leadership role within aged care? We’re seeking a passionate Associate Nurse Unit Manager (AN-ACC) to support the Nurse Unit Manager in guiding a dedicated team within the Care of the Older Person.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead AN-ACC assessments and ensure new admissions are assessed and have person-centred care plans within 14 days.
  • Attend high-risk meetings and daily huddles to stay informed about changes in consumer care needs.
  • Provide essential support and education to clinical staff, including Leecare EMR training.

As a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you'll deliver nursing and midwifery services across various settings, continually developing your skills and guiding less experienced staff. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other ANUMs and the Nurse Unit Manager.
  • Assisting with the implementation of practice changes.

Eligibility

The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.  They will also have at least 3 years post registration nursing experience or be currently classified as a clinical Nurse/Midwife.
