Overview

As part of our friendly and professional multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of paediatric physiotherapy services appropriate to the needs of the local community in Gawler and Barossa. To achieve this, you will work in concert with health professionals and service providers from other sectors, and utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, therapy and evaluation approaches as per the Country Health SA Children’s Health and Development Model of Care. You will be providing direct clinical care to children ranging in age from 0 to 7 years and their families who are eligible to receive services. This will include children accessing NDIS with various conditions such as global developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder and sensory disorders. You will work in one-to-one situations, as well as group sessions and at times within Department for Education sites.

You will need to hold a recognised qualification within the physiotherapy profession, and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. This will be supported by your practical experience in providing clinical physiotherapy services, including one-on-one, group and health promotion activities. Demonstrating a proactive approach to developing and maintaining contemporary knowledge and skills in paediatric physiotherapy, you will also be committed to acting on opportunities to improve the quality of customer service provided to children and their families. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will equip you to interact effectively with children and families from a diverse range of backgrounds.
