  • Salary: RN/M1 $72,651 - $99,129 p.a. (Pro-rata)
  • More than one Temporary Part-time position available working up to 15 March 2025, over a 7 day roster (part time hours to be negotiated)

Overview

Mount Barker Hospital is seeking a Midwife to provide midwifery care to women in the Maternity Department at Mount Barker. As a Midwife, you will participate in assessing women’s needs and planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate care and service delivery. Working in partnership with women, you will respect and support their right to self- determination in the life processes of pregnancy, birthing and parenthood. In Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, we have established the continuity of care practice as standard. Dedicated to holisitc midwifery, we will empower you to deliver the best possible care, with more hands-on involvement. Knowing that midwifery with Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is more than help with birthing, you will be able to go on a journey of care together with the women in your community.

Registered as a Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. Able to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting, you will demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal skills with all people at all times, and the ability to work as a team leader. You must be proficient in the use of Information Technology, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team setting. Sound knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting will also contribute to your success in this role.
