SALHN is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our team at the Noarlunga Hospital. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our community while advancing your culinary career.

About the role: 

Works as a member of Patient Services team to provide a quality food service function using your catering expertise to provide daily meals to patients and staff. Duties for the role will include:

  • Using your catering expertise to provide a quality food services
  • The preparation and cooking meals for clients including modified diets
  • Receiving Stock
  • Liaising with Dietician and other professional staff on food requirements for patient dietary needs
  • General routine kitchen cleaning activities

This advertisement is for a 6 month vacancy, with the possibility of ongoing appointment at that time. 

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate 3 in cookery required
  • Understanding of Nutritional guidelines for working within healthcare setting
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate
  • Ability to provide good customer service
  • Flexible approach to work routine
