Are you an organised and proactive individual with a passion for providing exceptional administrative support? Ceduna District Health Services is looking for a dedicated Administration Support Officer to join our team and help us deliver quality care to our community.

About the Role:

As an Administration Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Nursing division. You will be the primary contact for administrative customer support, providing comprehensive services to our Executive Officer, Director of Nursing, and other senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality keyboard services, including correspondence, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and other documents.
  • Assist in coordinating hospital transfers and managing client records in line with State Records of SA Disposal Schedule.
  • Deliver prompt, courteous telephone service, screening and directing queries effectively.
  • Organise meetings, including venue arrangements, catering, and preparation of agendas and minutes.
  • Maintain confidential record management systems and ensure compliance with Freedom of Information and privacy principles.
  • Support staff queries regarding IT operations and assist with staff induction and orientation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of clients, including members of the community, health service staff and staff from other agencies.
  • High level of organisational skills with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with poise.
  • Experience in clerical and administrative support, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and office procedures.
  • Sound understanding of confidentiality principles and relevant legislation.
  • Initiative and judgment in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The Ceduna District Health Services is run by the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network and includes Ceduna Hospital. Ceduna Hospital has 15 inpatient beds and provides services including emergency, surgical, general medicine, birthing, renal dialysis, diagnostic radiology and outpatients. There are also residential aged care services provided within the hospital, at the Kuhlmann Wing and Ceduna Senior Citizens Village. There is also a GP family practice, Community Health services, Allied Health services, and Child, Adolescent and Adult Mental Health services offered on the hospital site.
