About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Registered Nurse, where you will be responsible for:

  • Provide nursing services in primary, secondary, tertiary, or quaternary care settings.
  • Support young people and their families in collaboration with other staff members.
  • Work in collaboration with other health professionals and in partnership with women, children, youth, families, and other agencies to ensure optimum health outcomes.
  • Provide education and information to clients and families.
  • Offer support, direction, and education to students, nurses, and other health professionals.
  • Consolidate knowledge and skills, and develop capability through continuous professional development and experience.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice
  • Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing quality service to consumers/clients
