Are you passionate about providing compassionate care? Naracoorte Health Service is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Casual Pool as Assistants in Nursing, working in both our Acute and Aged Care units. This is your chance to make a difference in the lives of our patients and residents while gaining invaluable experience in a supportive environment.

About the Role: As an Assistant in Nursing, you will support our Enrolled and Registered Nurses in delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with daily living activities and basic nursing duties.
  • Providing person-centred care to our patients/clients.
  • Performing routine technical support functions, including setting up for nursing procedures and managing local stock levels.
  • Maintaining effective communication within our multidisciplinary healthcare team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Current enrolment in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery program (2nd or 3rd year) or
  • Completion of training relevant to the safe and competent performance of nursing duties or
  • A Certificate III or IV in Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, Individual Support Work, or other approved health-related qualifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative spirit to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
