 About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Allied Health and Aboriginal Liaison team as a Speech Pathologist, where you will be responsible for:

  • Provides Speech Pathology services as part of the WCHN Central Early Childhood and Family Service multidisciplinary team. The team focuses primarily on children, birth to preschool entry and their families.
  • The position is required to develop, provide and evaluate high quality speech pathology services with an early childhood developmental focus within a multi-disciplinary context. Services will include assessment and therapeutic intervention with children from birth to pre-school entry/eligibility and their families.
  • Office location is in North Adelaide, with clients being seen at our outreach locations: Lockleys Children's Centre, Parks Children's Centre, Woodville CaFHS site, Adelaide CaFHS site (please note, the CECFS team is located at these sites only, and is not a part of the CaFHS service or Children's Centre site service).

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:

  • Undertake reflective practice
  • Manage a complex and varied workload including individual and group work in the early childhood field
  • Relate well to, work with and support children of birth to preschool entry and their families from various cultures and backgrounds, often in complex vulnerable families.
  • Experience working with the application of attachment theory to therapeutic individual and group programs
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable children and their families
