Are you a dedicated medical professional looking to make a meaningful impact in obstetrics and gynaecology? Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service is seeking a passionate Obstetric and Gynaecological Registrar to join our dynamic team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Manage the care of inpatients and outpatients, collaborating with consultants, specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality care.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and accessible patient records, ensuring timely and accurate discharge summaries.
  • Clinical Handover: Provide effective handovers at shift changes and during clinical transitions.
  • Discharge Planning: Initiate discharge planning early, coordinating with patients, carers, and GPs for post-discharge care.
  • Leadership & Education: Engage in clinical leadership, contribute to quality improvement, and participate in training and educational programs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent, with registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and empathy skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team; competency in routine procedural skills.
  • Experience: Appropriate post-graduate experience and knowledge of contemporary medical practices and safety principles.
  • Registration: Current AHPRA General Registration or AHPRA Limited Registration at Level 3 or higher.

Total Indicative Remuneration (TIRP) includes award salary, leave loading, professional development and Superannuation.
