Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, execution, and evaluation of an effective Change Management Plan for the ePCR Project, coordinating with other teams and the ePCR Solution Supplier.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of comprehensive internal and external communication plans, materials, and key messages to support effective positive engagement for the ePCR Project.
  • Direct the development of Non-Clinical Training Packages, coordinate training scheduling, monitor training efficacy, and ensure proper record-keeping for deployment planning.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders within SAAS and external organizations to support coordination and implementation of change activities and external engagement.
  • Identify risks, areas of concern, and provide expert advice on mitigation strategies or potential solutions related to change management and communications for the ePCR Project.
  • Lead, manage, and support the members of the ePCR Change & Engagement Team, promoting collaboration, effective communication, and a positive work culture aligned with SA Health's values.

The SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) is undertaking a major initiative to modernise its operations with the introduction of an electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) system.

The initiative marks a significant step toward modernising SAAS operations, aligning them with national standards, and ensuring that paramedics are equipped with the tools they need to deliver high-quality care across South Australia.

 The ePCR system will streamline the way paramedics record patient information, improving the accuracy and efficiency of care provided during emergencies. It will allow paramedics to enter patient observations and care details directly into a digital platform, accessible in real-time. This will not only enhance the quality of care delivered on the scene but also facilitate smoother handovers to hospital staff, as information can be instantly shared with receiving facilities.
