About the role
Join our compassionate inter-disciplinary palliative care team as a Social Worker, where your expertise will play a vital role in supporting patients with complex psychosocial needs and their families during challenging times. In this position, you will provide counselling and bereavement support, ensuring that each patient receives holistic care tailored to their unique circumstances. Your contributions will extend beyond direct support, as you help plan, implement, evaluate, and review a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the psychosocial needs of our community.
In addition to your direct patient work, you'll respond to organisational requests for specialist palliative care psychosocial advice and provide professional consultancy to management and staff. Qualifications
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers

Essential Requirements:
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working with Children Check
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
