About You:

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience and skills in emergency and geriatric care  to join a dynamic, growing healthcare network where you will be part of a supportive team delivering high quality care to the community. This position will be vital in helping to establish a new service to help meet the needs of the older consumers within NALHN, by providing contemporary high-quality care in a rapid assessment and planning service.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse within the Older Person's Emergency Referral and Assessment (OPERA) team.

As a Registered Nurse in the OPERA unit, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive assessment, treatment, and care coordination services to older individuals presenting with complex health conditions. Your expertise and compassion will be instrumental in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care tailored to their unique needs.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. Your clinical skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities will be invaluable assets as you navigate the challenges of caring for our elderly population.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

Lyell McEwin Hospital The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
