About the Role
As a Nurse Consultant HIV Liaison, you will play a pivotal role within the CALHN Infectious Diseases Unit, in delivering specialised nursing care to clients living with HIV. Your expertise will extend to both newly diagnosed individuals and those with long-standing conditions, providing essential care coordination and case management. You will empower clients facing challenges in managing their chronic illness, ensuring they receive the support and guidance necessary for optimal health outcomes. Your commitment to patient-centred care will be instrumental in helping individuals navigate their journey with HIV.
In this dynamic role, you will also provide valuable support and education to inpatient clinical teams, enhancing their understanding of HIV management and adherence to treatment plans. Your leadership will inspire fellow nurses and midwives to deliver quality care, fostering a collaborative environment where best practices thrive. About You
We’re seeking a passionate Nurse Consultant who embodies the following key attributes:

Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate.

Leadership Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities, with a knack for fostering teamwork and staff development.

Experience: At least 3 years post-registration in a relevant clinical area, with proven competence in care coordination for people living with HIV or other infectious diseases.

Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant legislation, safety standards, and contemporary nursing practices, particularly in diverse and vulnerable populations.
