The gorgeous Yorke and Northern region encompassing the Yorke Peninsula and significant areas of the Spencer Gulf and Gulf of St Vincent, Southern Flinders Ranges and the Mid North of South Australia all within easy reach of Adelaide.

The Mid North region is SA’s gateway to the outback and Southern Flinders Ranges, it is renowned for its wonderful rural panoramas and unique country townships. The area is made up of dramatic landscapes and native wildlife and offers an abundance of activities to break up those workdays, including outback camping, four-wheel driving, cycling, and surfing. The beautiful Clare Valley sits within this region and offers some of Australia’s best wines with more than 50 cellar doors to explore and enjoy.

YNLHN have permanent and temporary part time positions for Registered Nurses wishing to work within the Operating Theatres at the Clare and Wallaroo Hospitals. Surgical specialities are offered between Monday and Friday by local and visiting medical specialists and include general surgery, orthopaedic, gastroenterology, obstetric, urology, gynaecology, dental, ophthalmology, plastics, and ear nose throat services.

YNLHN surgical services are also supported with a 24-hour, 7-day week on-call service. Applicants to these positions will be required to participate in an on-call roster system to support these services.
Opportunities are also available for Registered Nurses employed in this role to expand and consolidate on additional skills within additional services at each hospital if desired.

Clare Hospital
Located 150 kilometres from Adelaide in the beautiful mid-north, Clare Hospital is a 23-bed acute hospital. Services offered include 24-hours accident and emergency, acute and general medical services, chemotherapy, renal, medical imaging, surgical services, obstetric and maternity care, palliative care, and outpatient clinics.

The Clare and Gilbert Valley region is a lovely place to live and work, providing beauty, affordability, culture, great lifestyle, and employment opportunities. Offering over 40 cellar doors, many restaurants, cafes and galleries, there is no shortage of places to eat, drink and have fun.

Clare Hospital has one operating theatre that provides services 7 days per fortnight with a supporting on-call service and is seeking:

  • Registered Nurse: Temporary P/T, 0.32 FTE (12 hours per week) Commencing ASAP until 10 January 2025


Wallaroo Hospital

Located 160 kilometres from Adelaide on the beautiful coastline of the Yorke Peninsula, Wallaroo is a 21-bed acute hospital. Services offered include 24-hour accident and emergency, acute and general medical services, chemotherapy, medical imaging, surgical services obstetric and maternity care, palliative care, and outpatient clinics.

The Yorke Peninsula region offers a lovely place to live and work, providing a beautiful coastal environment, the area provides great beaches for swimming and fishing. There is plenty of areas to explore on your days off.

Wallaroo Hospital has one operating theatre that provides services 5 days per week with a supporting on-call service and is seeking:

  • Registered Nurse: Permanent P/T, 3.0 FTE (Various Positions) Commencing ASAP
