Join our Post Anaesthesia Care Team as a Associate Nurse Unit Manager! 

Being a Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) at Flinders Medical Centre offers an exciting and dynamic opportunity to be part of a dedicated PACU team. As a PACU ANUM, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients in their Post Surgery Care. 

About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) this role is responsible for providing support to the Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent in the leadership. Duties for the role will include:

  • Ensure the delivery of high quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework and Consumer Engagement Framework and Plan,
  • Monitoring patient/client care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis,
  • Assists and supports the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in management, clinical, and education activities,
  • Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience,
  • Provide shift by shift leadership in the provision of nursing care within a team or unit and facilitate patient flow.

About you:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate,
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience,
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards,
  • Ability to work within a team framework that fosters an environment that develops staff potential.
