About the role

Under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional, you will provide assistance and support to the Dietetics team in the delivery of allied health services to patients of the Country Health Connect. The position will be based at our main site in Mount Gambier.

Country Health Connect focuses on the delivery of exceptional care to those living within our communities who require some support to remain living independently or reside in one of our residential aged care facilities.

Our professional and caring staff deliver health care and wellbeing support across regional South Australia in hospitals, local health services, community centres, residential aged care facilities and clients’ own homes.

You will hold or be working towards Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance and have prior experience working in a Service environment. Demonstrating aptitude for work in a healthcare environment, you will have the ability to work under close supervision and direction from Allied Health Professionals. You must also be capable of working in a physically demanding environment to assist client therapy and handling of client related equipment and devices. Your sound communication and interpersonal skills will equip you to work with people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Prior experience working with Aboriginal consumers and communities to provide culturally appropriate health services will be ideal.
