About the Role:
Opportunity to join the Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP) for Enrolled Nurses at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). As the Enrolled Nurse you will be supporting the Registered Nurse/Midwife in providing person-centred care consistent with regulatory and statutory requirements, continuity of care for the patients and contribute to improved patient flow.
Although you work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will at all times retain the responsibility for your actions and remain accountable in providing nursing/midwifery care. You will maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team and will work with children, youth, women and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
About you:
- It is essential that you are registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or are eligible to hold a current practicing certificate with unlimited work restrictions.
- You will have effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. In addition you have the ability to prioritise workloads, recognise and report changes in clinical condition and provide person-centred care.
- This is a part-time temporary contracted vacancy, working 32 hours per week on a 7 day roster and salary will be adjusted according to the actual hours worked - as this is a supported training program, there is no option to work below this. This is for newly registered Enrolled Nurses with less than 6 months nursing experience in any setting.
The position starts on 17th May 2025 until 16th November 2025.
