About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Pharmacist Team Leader for Neuroscience and Rehabilitation to join our pharmacy team. In this key leadership role, you will oversee a skilled team of pharmacists, assistants, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure the delivery of a high-quality pharmacy service in the designated area. You will provide management, mentoring, and guidance to your team, ensuring that Medication Management directives, policies, and procedures are effectively implemented. As the primary contact for clinicians and service units regarding pharmacy-related issues, you will play an essential role in facilitating seamless communication and support across the department.
This role also involves training and developing pharmacy staff, optimising service outcomes, and performing regular practice and performance reviews to uphold high standards of competence. You will lead within the department by developing, reviewing, and teaching workplace policies and procedures, while managing a specific portfolio that contributes to outcomes across the entire pharmacy service. Working closely with other team leaders, you’ll support the Deputy Directors of Pharmacy in providing safe, cost-effective drug therapy to achieve optimal patient health outcomes. This position also upholds The Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia Standards of Practice, ensuring legal compliance and accountability for medication management throughout the department.

Essential Requirements:
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Educational/Vocational Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
