About the Role
As a Ward Clerk for South 1 at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our inpatient ward. Reporting to the Administration Coordinator for Acute and Urgent Care, you will provide essential administrative services, assisting our Nursing and Medical teams in delivering high-quality care to patients. Your responsibilities will include processing patient registrations, admissions, and discharges, maintaining accurate patient records, and handling general ward administration with efficiency and professionalism.
In this role, you’ll also help ensure the ward runs smoothly by managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and attending to the diverse needs of the ward environment. We’re looking for someone organised, detail-oriented, and dedicated to contributing positively to the patient care experience. About You
We’re seeking a capable and organised professional to join our team. To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to sensitively assist patients and work well in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven experience in administrative tasks, including accurate data entry, document preparation, and handling confidential information.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage high workloads, prioritise tasks, and work well under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, office equipment, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service with adaptability and initiative.
