Are you an Enrolled Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, dynamic team in a beautiful part of South Australia? Naracoorte Health Service is currently seeking enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses to join our Casual Pool. This is a great opportunity to gain diverse experience in a range of clinical settings, from acute care to residential aged care.
About the Role:
As an Enrolled Nurse at Naracoorte Health Service, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, professional patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the implementation of nursing care plans, supporting both general and specialised procedures, and maintaining productive relationships within a multidisciplinary team. You will also be involved in planning and prioritising your workload to meet defined patient care outcomes and making sound judgments to resolve issues as they arise.
You will have the opportunity to work across various clinical areas, including our 39-bed acute care facility, day surgery, specialist consulting rooms, and Moreton Bay House, which houses both state-funded and Commonwealth-funded aged care beds. The role will require excellent communication skills to share information clearly and effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the provision of high-quality, person-centred nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Implement nursing care plans and assist with specialised nursing procedures.
- Plan, prioritise, and manage your daily work schedule to meet patient care needs.
- Provide verbal and written communication within your scope of practice to patients, healthcare team members, and the public.
- Maintain professional development and contribute to ongoing learning through a personal portfolio of post-enrolment education.
What We’re Looking For:
- Enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Experience within the scope of your education and training, demonstrating competence in delivering nursing care in line with established standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ability to think critically and exercise judgment in managing patient care and resolving work area challenges.
