About the Role:
As a Services Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of food services, housekeeping, and laundry duties at Naracoorte Health Services. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, and assisting with laundry tasks, such as collecting and delivering linen. You will also be involved in a variety of cleaning tasks, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, window cleaning, and rubbish disposal, as well as preparing meals and breakfast trolleys for patients.
In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides high-quality support services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your contribution will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for both patients and staff. Whether working independently or as part of a team, your work will make a meaningful impact on the daily operations of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, serve, and deliver food to patients, including meal preparation (e.g., vegetables, salads, sandwiches, breakfast trolleys).
- Undertake general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and washing floors, windows, and toilets.
- Collect and deliver linen as required.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the facility.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, assisting other staff members when needed.
- Perform all duties under general direction or limited supervision, while maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.
