About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to provide exceptional patient care within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the highest clinical standards. You will play a key role in delivering anaesthetic services in line with regional, hospital, and departmental policies, while upholding the professional guidelines of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. Your expertise will contribute to safe, effective, and compassionate care for patients across a variety of clinical settings.

As part of this dynamic role, you will actively mentor and teach medical trainees, interns, and students, sharing your knowledge with the next generation of healthcare professionals. You will also participate in clinical audits, quality assurance initiatives, and risk management activities to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, we encourage your involvement in research and ongoing medical education to support your professional growth and further enhance our team’s capabilities.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled Consultant Anaesthetist who is committed to providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a collaborative clinical environment. You will bring your expertise in anaesthesia, along with a passion for teaching and continuous professional development.

  • Specialist Qualifications: Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or equivalent, with registration as a Specialist with AHPRA.
  • Clinical Excellence: Demonstrated expertise in anaesthesia and a commitment to high-quality patient care, both in and out of hours.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with all levels of staff.
  • Professional Growth: Dedication to personal and professional development, with active involvement in continuing medical education and quality improvement activities.
