About the Role
As a Services Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of our health service, helping with catering, cleaning, and laundry services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Catering & Food Safety: Assisting in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
- Laundry & Linen Services: Handling the washing, drying, folding, ironing, labelling, and storing of laundry, uniforms, and linen, while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Cleaning & Hygiene: Carrying out cleaning duties in accordance with safe practices and infection control procedures, maintaining a hygienic environment for the wellbeing of all.
You’ll work closely with a supportive team and contribute to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone at the Waikerie Health Service.
About You
While previous experience in housekeeping, catering, or laundry is desirable, we’re more interested in your commitment to delivering excellent service and your ability to follow safe working procedures. You’ll need to be:
- Flexible & Reliable: Able to work within set timeframes and adjust to a rotating roster, whether working alone or as part of a team.
- Safety-Focused: Knowledge of safe working conditions and an understanding of food handling, laundry procedures, and chemical safety.
- Customer-Centred: Dedicated to providing exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors, and be friendly & approachable .
- Confidential & Discreet: Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

- DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check

- Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B
