About the role
Are you a motivated technical professional looking to apply your expertise in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a Technical Officer (TGO1/TGO2) to join our team, with classification determined by your experience and skill level. In this role, you’ll engage in a variety of technical activities, whether working independently or as part of a team. Depending on your expertise, you may also take on leadership responsibilities for minor technical projects, applying technical judgement to support research, operations, and project programs. Your ability to analyse challenges, follow standardised practices, and contribute innovative solutions will be highly valued.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career, whether you’re building hands-on experience (TGO1) or stepping into a supervisory position with reporting and decision-making responsibilities (TGO2). About You
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Officer (TGO1/TGO2) who thrives in a laboratory environment and is eager to contribute to high-quality outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong technical skills & experience – Demonstrated laboratory experience, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and meeting client requirements.
- Excellent organisational & communication abilities – Proven ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, prepare reports, and communicate effectively within a team.
- A proactive & customer-focused approach – Ability to work under limited supervision, use initiative to solve problems, and provide outstanding customer service.
- Sound knowledge & adherence to standards – Understanding of diagnostic laboratory practices, quality principles, and Work Health & Safety procedures.
