Make a direct impact on the lives of clients in the Lower Southeast region – become an Equipment Officer and ensure clients receive the equipment they need to live independently.
As an Equipment Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing essential equipment to clients based on the assessment of health professionals. From coordinating the timely delivery and installation of equipment to monitoring safety and maintenance checks, your work will help enhance client safety, independence, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue equipment prescribed by health professionals and ensure safe installation in client homes.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to address equipment inquiries and ensure client safety.
- Maintain and update the equipment stock register, ensuring timely reordering and proper storage.
- Coordinate construction projects such as ramps, steps, and handrails in collaboration with contractors.
- Conduct regular safety checks and report hazards or issues to the relevant professionals.
- Perform administrative tasks, including updating databases and record-keeping.
- Promote a healthy team environment through active participation in quality improvement activities.
What We're Looking For:
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexible, creative, and initiative-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices and experience in manual handling.
- Experience in maintaining accurate records and using administrative systems.
- Understanding of Work, Health, and Safety Act 2012.
