Overview
BHFLHN is seeking a passionate AHP1 or AHP2 Dietitian to deliver high-quality nutrition and dietetics services to communities across the Mount Barker/Adelaide Hills region. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to work across both community and inpatient settings in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

AHP1 – Early Career Dietitian:
Under the direct supervision of an experienced Dietitian, the AHP1 Dietitian contributes to the delivery of a range of clinical services, using well-established methods and guidance. This role is perfect for new graduates or early-career professionals.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Delivering one-on-one, group, and health promotion-based dietetic services.

Working within the Nutrition and Dietetics Client Priority Framework.

Providing services in inpatient and community settings.

Developing skills under structured supervision and mentorship.

Participating in local clinical networks and student supervision with support.
AHP2 – Experienced Dietitian:
The AHP2 Dietitian works under reduced supervision and provides services requiring more complex clinical reasoning. This role includes supervision of AHP1 clinicians, students, and allied health assistants.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Planning, delivering, and evaluating a comprehensive range of Dietetic services.

Managing a diverse caseload and supporting junior staff.

Leading service development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Applying evidence-based practice and client-centred care models.

Contributing to multidisciplinary teamwork, strategic planning, and supervision frameworks.
Essential Requirements for Both Roles:

Recognised qualification in Dietetics.

Eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia.

Participation in the APD (Accredited Practising Dietitian) program (highly desirable).
