About the Role
As a vital member of the Division of Gastro, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. This position involves managing the electronic Gastroenterology procedural waiting list system, coordinating appointments and procedure bookings using a variety of computerised systems, and ensuring the efficient organisation of office processes. You will be responsible for maintaining a highly organised office environment, ensuring that all administrative functions run seamlessly.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care by arranging and advising patients on follow-up appointments and necessary arrangements. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining accurate records and efficient office systems, all while contributing to a supportive, collaborative team. - Typing and Data Entry: Ability to type 60 wpm accurately and enter data into information systems with precision.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for liaising with staff and the public, with the ability to manage sensitive conversations with patients.
- Teamwork & Independence: Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment, solve problems using initiative, and manage confidential matters efficiently.
