About the role: 

Working in an ambulatory role as the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive speech pathology services to patients across various settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, and community-based programs. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication, swallowing, and related disorders, ensuring the highest quality of care for our diverse patient population. 

This role will work as a community-based role, based out of the Noarlunga Health Precinct and Marion GP+ when not working directly with clients in the community.

You will liaise closely with families, staff of other disciplines and relevant community agencies to provide an integrated approach to client management.

About you:

  • To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent, with current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • You must possess a current Australian Driver's licence and a willingness to drive as part of your role. 
  • Experience conducting instrumental investigation in the evaluation of swallowing e.g. Videofluoroscopy Swallowing Studies (VFSS).
  • Exceptional communication skills, a passion for patient-centred care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential.
  • Previous experience in a public healthcare setting would be highly advantageous.
