  • Salary: OPS2 $58,709 - $63,154 p.a (pro rata) 
  • Temporary part time working 37.5 hours per fortnight, contract available until 20 August 2025

 

Are you passionate about supporting people to live healthier, more independent lives? Join us at the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network as a Better Care in the Community (BCC) Program Assistant based in Port Pirie.

In this rewarding role, you’ll assist clinicians across a range of vital programs, including cardiac rehabilitation, respiratory support, sleep study services and wellbeing initiatives. Your work will help clients manage chronic conditions and avoid unnecessary hospital visits, while promoting wellness in our communities.

You’ll provide essential administrative support, coordinate health education events, and contribute to improving access to services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and vulnerable groups. Every day you’ll make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, preparation and delivery of BCC programs
  • Assist clinicians with client self-management strategies
  • Coordinate health promotion activities and community events
  • Provide high-quality administrative and customer service support
  • Help meet program goals, including reducing hospital admissions and improving local access to care

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent communication skills with a diverse range of consumers
  • Ability to work confidentially and independently with strong teamwork skills
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and work under direction
  • Experience in administration support and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of client rights, privacy, and confidentiality
  • Awareness of issues affecting people with chronic conditions
  • Knowledge of local community resources and commitment to public sector values
