About the Role
Join our dynamic team at TQEH NEGB/NE2, a surgical unit within the Surgical Directorate 2 of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network. In this role, you will provide specialised nursing care to patients across various surgical specialities, including Surgical short stay, Gynaecology, Breast/Endocrine, ENT, and Urology. As an experienced nurse, you’ll develop your practice further, from competent to proficient, while guiding and mentoring less experienced staff to deliver high standards of care.
In this leadership-focused position, you will support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in managing daily operations and fostering a collaborative, efficient team environment. You’ll be responsible for promoting continuity of care, implementing practice changes, and supporting key aspects of unit management, including performance, staffing, recruitment, and resource planning. About You
You are a proactive and dedicated Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 3 years' post-registration experience

Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills

Proven ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines

Experience in supervising and mentoring less experienced nursing staff
