About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and organised Outpatient Administrative Support staff to join our team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing confidential and professional frontline administrative support. Reporting to the Outpatient Coordinator, you will ensure the smooth operation of our outpatient services by managing appointments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting patients with enquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment will be key to delivering high-quality support.

As a multi-skilled team member, you will have the opportunity to work across various aspects of outpatient administration, taking on responsibilities autonomously while collaborating with a supportive team. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to patient care will contribute to the efficient running of our outpatient services. About You

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills to support our outpatient services. You will thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.

  • Strong Communication & Teamwork – Ability to engage with staff, patients, and diverse communities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Efficient & Organised – Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and handle high volumes of work with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Administrative Expertise – Experience in customer service, data entry, Microsoft Office applications, and audiotyping (50 WPM).

  • Healthcare Knowledge – Familiarity with medical terminology, administrative procedures, and a commitment to workplace safety and equal opportunity principles.
