Overview
As a Rural Generalist Podiatrist, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of health services. To achieve this, you will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, including health professionals and service providers from other sectors. You will utilise a combination preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches including individual therapy, group programs, health promotion and community development projects. You will adopt a proactive approach to developing and maintaining contemporary knowledge and skills in podiatry, growing your skillset in rural general healthcare. The incumbent may be required to provide a regional service to more than one community within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu region on a regular and rostered schedule.
You must hold a recognised qualification in the Podiatry profession and be eligible for practicing membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Podiatry Board. You will be skilled in providing straightforward clinical podiatry services, including one-on-one, group and health promotion activities. Strong communication and teamwork skills will be essential. You will be capable of supporting consumers through the patient journey, providing effective assessment, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care and prompt follow-up.
