About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic medical professional to join our dynamic team within the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. In this role, you will actively engage in clinical practice under the guidance of the Director and Senior Consultant Staff, ensuring a consistently high standard of care across our services. You will provide mentorship and oversight to Resident Medical Officers, fostering a strong culture of clinical excellence. A key part of your responsibilities will include leading the inpatient consultation service for specialty Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Service, where your expertise will make a direct impact on patient outcomes.
In addition to your clinical duties, you will contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinical Trials Service and be an integral part of the department’s ongoing research initiatives. Qualifications & Registration: MBBS or equivalent, eligible for registration with AHPRA.

Strong Leadership & Communication Skills: Proven ability to supervise staff, resolve complaints, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Clinical and Interpersonal Excellence: Demonstrated clinical competence, with a patient-centred approach that reflects empathy, respect, and professionalism.

Hospital Systems Knowledge: Sound understanding of hospital structures, systems, and relevant workplace safety and equal opportunity principles.
