As our Corporate General Services Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality hotel services that directly support patient care and organisational efficiency.
About the Role:
The Corporate General Services Manager, RMCLHN, is responsible for the efficient, effective, and coordinated delivery of hotel services across the Local Health Network. This includes overseeing operational management at both Murray Bridge Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and Riverland General Hospital, ensuring consistency in service standards, compliance, and business performance.
In this role, you will:
- Provide expert operational support and advice for food services across the network, particularly in the aged care setting, maintaining food quality and safety standards.
- Oversee and support cleaning and laundry services, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Manage key business functions including finance, procurement, and human resources related to hotel services, meal provision (including special diets), and internal events.
- Drive a culture of quality and safety by leading auditing, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead the environmental responsibility portfolio across the LHN, coordinating sustainability-related projects.
- Support site-based teams with service-related projects, offering expertise and operational guidance.

What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive leadership and management experience, including in hospitality and hotel services within SA Health hospitals, health services, service centres, or aged care settings.
- Skilled in preparing complex reports, briefings, and correspondence.
- Proven ability to develop, review, and maintain systems, protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Experienced in research, data collection, analysis, and reporting from multiple sources.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including collaboration with government agencies and community groups.
- Effective project manager with experience in planning, executing, and delivering complex projects.
- Broad administrative support experience across finance, HR, procurement, records management, and reporting.
- Proficient in facilities management, with focus on system and process improvement.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; able to produce high-quality documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Skilled in interpreting and applying legislation and ensuring compliance.
- Operational expertise in food services: menu planning, procurement, stock control, and food safety.
- Operational expertise in housekeeping and laundry: chemicals, equipment, stock control, and cleaning standards.
- Experienced in developing business plans and KPIs for food services, including regular performance reporting.
- Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams.
