About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Consultant to join our dynamic team in the Division of Medicine.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care, support and education to patients with Parkinson's disease and their families. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality, person-centred care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • assess, plan and evaluate nursing care for patients with Parkinson's disease across the care continuum
  • act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting best practices and evidence-based care
  • develop and deliver educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of nursing policies and procedures
  • foster effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team and with external stakeholders

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
