About the Role:

As a Direct Care Worker (Community), you will be responsible for delivering direct client services to aged, frail, or disabled individuals who wish to remain living independently in their own homes with some assistance. Your role will be critical in helping clients achieve a higher quality of life through personal care and support.

You will work closely with the Community Care Coordinator and collaborate with other Community Health professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position and at least 560 hours satisfactory in-service experience.
  • Completed at least 560 hours satisfactory in-service experience.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
     
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 40 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
