About the role:
Reporting to the Manager Transition Services, this role will be involved within the multidisciplinary team providing music therapy to patients to maintain and improve function and well-being whilst progressing on their care pathway. This is a senior role with key leadership responsibilities for the music therapy team. Duties for the role will include:
- Providing leadership, consultancy and advice to management and other health professionals on service development and practice within music therapy services in the designated service,
- Developing, reviewing, and evaluating clinical protocols, policies, procedures, and resources within a best practice framework,
- Initiating, participating in, and supporting the development of research activities relevant to music therapy
About you:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in music therapy. Eligible for membership of the Australian Music Therapy Association,
- Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for the organisation, development and supervision of music therapy service to a designated are as a member of the interdisciplinary team,
- Extensive experience and clinical expertise in the provision of clinical music therapy services to clients with a range of disorders and disabilities in the areas of Adult Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Transition Services.
