Overview:
The Senior Procurement and Finance Officer is accountable to the Associate Director Business Systems via the Principal Business Support Officer for the provision of expert advice and services in relation to best practice procurement, grant and contract management across the agency.
The Senior Procurement and Finance Officer role includes but is not limited to:
- Providing a broad range of operational and expert advice, services and support related to procurement, grant and contract initiation and management across Preventive Health SA, using a partnership approach in coordinating and undertaking the development, delivery and evaluation of complex procurement projects.
- Facilitating procurement, grant and contract arrangements across the agency.
- Assisting in the development of financial analysis and reporting as it relates to procurement.
- Improving, coordinating and facilitating the development of systems and processes, training and education, and monitoring, reporting and compliance functions for procurement, grants and contract management.
- Applying, monitoring and evaluating effective risk management in procurement.
The role works as part of the Business Systems team and is required to undertake assigned activities that support achievement of the Branch workplan under the oversight of Branch leadership including for example, financial modelling and management reporting and analysis and the development of financial and undertaking of variance analysis.
The role establishes and manages relationships with key stakeholders including Procurement and Supply Chain Management in the Department for Health and Wellbeing, and Procurement Services SA is important to ensure success of the role.
