About the Role

Are you ready to lead with impact and inspire a dedicated team of social workers across some of South Australia’s leading healthcare facilities? As a Principal Social Worker, you’ll take on a dynamic leadership role within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), supporting teams across the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre. You'll provide expert clinical oversight and strategic guidance, fostering a collaborative environment that ensures excellence in service delivery under a Single Service, Multiple Site model.

About You

You are a highly skilled and compassionate social work professional with a strong foundation in clinical practice and leadership. Your experience, communication skills, and commitment to best practice enable you to lead and support teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a dynamic health network.

  • Hold a recognised Social Work degree and full membership eligibility with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to foster teamwork, manage performance, and guide professional development.

  • Advanced clinical expertise in complex social work practice, with a strong commitment to evidence-based care and service improvement.

  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking and organisational skills, with a focus on inclusion, ethical practice, and patient outcomes.
