About the role
As the Finance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding financial strategy and performance across SA Pathology. Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager of Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) and work closely with the Executive Director of SA Pathology and the SCSS Finance Team. You will provide high-level financial and commercial advisory services that directly support the achievement of strategic objectives.
Your responsibilities will include delivering expert financial analysis, leading budget development and forecasting, and identifying opportunities for business improvement. You will support effective financial performance management through reporting, monitoring and strategic advice, ensuring alignment with activity and FTE targets. Additionally, you will build financial literacy across SA Pathology and advise on pricing, commercial arrangements and sustainable financial models to strengthen service delivery. You will lead the SA Pathology business advisory team.

Proven leadership experience in senior financial management, driving strategic outcomes and guiding teams through reform and change.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders on complex financial matters.

Advanced skills in financial analysis, modelling, reporting, and business strategy development to enhance organisational performance.
