Overview:
The Senior Project Officer is responsible for leading and coordinating a range of less complex and/or sensitive projects relating to the Capital Works Program.
Within this context, the role:
- Undertakes reporting, document control, issue resolution and escalation activities relating to the Capital Works Program.
- Provides support to the DHW Senior Project Managers on higher value / complexity projects.
- Monitors, evaluates and reports on the status of project deliverables / actions against project objectives defined at commencement to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are met.
- Applies skills and experience in the authoring and preparation of high-level project plans, submissions, policy, briefings and responses to Ministerial or Office of the Chief Executive requests in accordance with government legislation and guidelines.
- Ensures procurement processes comply with DHW specified delegations, policies, standards and procedures.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
