About the role
As a Medical Scientist, you will apply your advanced professional expertise to perform complex diagnostic procedures and deliver high-level scientific services. You will utilise your specialised knowledge and growing professional competence to support a range of client groups, using your clinical judgement to select and apply appropriate diagnostic methods and troubleshoot where necessary.
In this role, you will be responsible for validating quality control processes at a supervisory level and will contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory practices under the direction of management. Your expertise, developed through professional growth and operational experience, will play a key role in ensuring accurate results, service excellence, and adherence to quality standards in a dynamic healthcare environment.

You are an experienced and highly motivated laboratory professional with strong scientific expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality pathology services. You thrive in dynamic environments, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, and have a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to your work.

Proven ability to perform, evaluate, and troubleshoot high-quality laboratory testing and maintain relevant scientific equipment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional approach to internal and external stakeholder engagement.

Demonstrated experience in quality control, assurance monitoring, and the use of laboratory software applications.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and maintain performance under pressure.
