About the Role

Are you ready to make a profound impact on the lives of people affected by brain cancer? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Brain Cancer Nurse Consultant to join our state-wide team. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert clinical care, education and leadership for adult patients living with brain cancer across South Australia—spanning metro, regional, and rural communities. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across the CALHN Cancer and Neurosurgical Programs, ensuring patients receive timely, coordinated and compassionate care throughout their treatment journey. Your role will be instrumental in guiding patients through complex treatment pathways, supporting access to clinical trials, and contributing to key brain cancer databases and registries.

Beyond direct patient care, you'll serve as a clinical leader and mentor for nursing staff, driving service improvement and patient outcomes through strategic project coordination and evidence-based practice. This is your opportunity to champion quality care for individuals and families navigating the challenges of brain cancer, contribute to multidisciplinary clinics and meetings, and shape future care delivery models at both a local and state-wide level. If you're passionate about making a meaningful difference and leading change in a dynamic and rewarding area of nursing, we’d love to hear from you.

About You

You are a skilled and compassionate nursing professional with a strong clinical background and leadership capability, ready to make a meaningful impact in the care of patients with brain cancer. You thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, bring a patient-centred focus to everything you do, and are passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

  • Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate and minimum 3 years’ experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in neuro-oncology care and post-surgical management

  • Strong leadership, communication and change management skills

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant clinical standards, legislation and patient safety practices
