Overview

SA Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Administration Officer to join our dynamic team at the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) Gawler Health Service on a part-time, temporary contract basis.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional, confidential, and customer-focused administrative service to clients, staff, and visitors. Your duties will encompass a range of tasks, including:

  • Delivering a professional reception service
  • Supporting theatre administrative functions
  • Facilitating patient admissions and discharges
  • Preparing and running patient/client information reports
  • Undertaking word processing and data entry tasks
  • Providing administrative support for medical records
  • Offering clerical/administrative assistance at relevant sites 

To excel in this position, you must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Proficiency in relevant computer applications and experience in a healthcare setting would be highly advantageous.

This part-time opportunity offers a 0.3 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) position, spanning 5 days per fortnight, with 4.5 hours per day, totalling 22.5 hours per fortnight. The contract is scheduled to conclude on January 1, 2026.
