WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

We are offering a rewarding temporary part-time opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Children’s Health and Development (CHAD) Team in the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, based at Mount Barker. Whether you're building your early career as an AHP1 or bringing clinical experience as an AHP2, this role offers the chance to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment delivering impactful early intervention and therapy services to children aged 0–7. You'll support children with a variety of developmental needs, including those accessing services through the NDIS, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of local families in the Adelaide Hills region.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment, therapy, and early intervention services for children aged 0–7 with developmental needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and community partners to deliver holistic, family-centred care.
  • Participate in service planning, quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to innovative therapy delivery models.
  • Support and/or supervise students, assistants, and less experienced clinicians, depending on your level of experience.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

  • You will need to be immunised.  The policy on immunisation is very detailed, so please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries.  Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You will be required to hold registration with AHPRA to practice as an Occupational Therapist within our organisation.
